Our Z3D PLA Filament is the perfect choice for anyone looking for an easy-to-print, dimensionally stable and visually clean filament. PLA is one of the most popular 3D printing materials – ideal for makers, hobbyists, model building, prototypes, and decorative objects.

Thanks to its low shrinkage, minimal warping, and outstanding layer adhesion, PLA delivers excellent results even on entry-level printers. The material does not require a closed chamber and works great with a moderate heated bed temperature.

• Printing temperature: 195–215 °C
• Heated bed: 50–60 °C (prints also without heated bed)

FAQ – PLA Filament

Why is PLA so popular?

It is extremely easy to print, low-warping and offers excellent surface finish.

Is PLA food safe?

PLA itself can be food safe, but printed surface structures contain micro pores. Limited usage is recommended.

Can PLA be used in a car?

No, it softens around 55–60 °C. PETG, ASA or ABS are better choices for higher heat.

Is PLA biodegradable?

PLA is made from renewable resources like corn starch but only biodegradable under industrial composting conditions.

Can PLA be recycled?

Yes, PLA can be recycled and is a more sustainable choice than ABS.
