Cleaning filament is a special maintenance material for 3D printers, designed to reliably remove filament residue, color deposits, and contaminants from nozzles, hotends, and extruders. It is used between material changes, when print issues occur, or for regular maintenance to keep the extruder clean and performing at its best.

• Temperature range: 150–260 °C (depending on the previously used material)
• Procedure: Insert the filament, extrude a few centimeters, then perform a “cold pull” or a regular extrusion out
• Nozzle: Suitable for all nozzle types (brass, steel, hardened steel, etc.)

Tip: Always clean the hotend when switching between very different materials – e.g., from PLA to PETG, ABS, TPU, Nylon, or Carbon – to avoid print errors and clogs.

• the nozzle is severely damaged or worn,
• a complete blockage is present,
• the print quality remains poor even after cleaning.
