PC filament (Polycarbonate) is a high-strength and heat-resistant 3D printing material, ideal for technical parts that must withstand high mechanical stress and elevated temperatures. PC offers excellent impact resistance, good toughness, and outstanding dimensional stability.

Printing and Material Properties
PC is more challenging to print than PLA or PETG and requires a heated bed and a closed build chamber to prevent warping. With the right settings, however, very stable, heat-resistant, and precise prints can be achieved.
Optimal Printing Settings for PC
- Printing temperature: 260-300 °C
- Heated bed: 90-120 °C
- Build chamber: closed recommended
- Fan: 0-20 % (low cooling)
- Speed: 30-60 mm/s
Tip: PC filament should be stored dry and, if necessary, dried before printing to achieve optimal results and minimize stringing.
