Z3D FLEX is a very flexible, elastic TPU filament (Shore 95A) characterized by high abrasion resistance, strong layer adhesion, and resistance to chemicals and temperature. Ideal for functional, rubber-like prints with long service life.
Important TPU Properties
- Material: TPU (“medium”) – Shore hardness 95A (at 100% infill) — softer prints possible with lower infill.
- Filament diameter: 1.75 mm

- High abrasion resistance, excellent interlayer adhesion, and strong bed adhesion.
- Nearly odorless, non-toxic, skin-friendly / suitable for allergy sufferers.

Cleaning Filament
The cleaning filament (100g net, loose) facilitates smooth switching between different filament colors and materials.
TPU Sample
Each sample consists of a material sample (30g net, loose) in a randomly selected available color.
Please understand that we cannot fulfill color requests, and duplicate colors are possible when ordering multiple samples.

Recommended Print Settings
- Hotend temperature: 210–240 °C (depending on model — test cube recommended).
- Build surface: PEI, BuildTak, or slightly heated glass; adhesion enhancers like hairspray/sanding method optional.
- Bed temperature: 30–60 °C (depending on bed type and adhesion).
- Retraction: keep low (e.g., 1–3 mm, depending on direct/Bowden extruder) — TPU tends to clog with too much retraction.
- Print speed: slow to medium (15–40 mm/s) for clean results.
- Layer height: 0.1–0.3 mm, depending on desired surface quality and flexibility.

- Is TPU 95A suitable for my printer?
- Yes, most FDM printers with a clean filament path (especially direct-drive) print TPU reliably. Bowden setups may require adjusted settings and slower speeds.
- How do I achieve softer results?
- Shore hardness refers to 100% infill. Reduce the infill percentage to make the print softer.
- Do I need a heated bed?
- A lightly heated bed (30–60 °C) can improve adhesion, but is not mandatory when using suitable surfaces like PEI.
- Are there odor or health concerns?
- Z3D FLEX is nearly odorless, non-toxic, and skin-friendly. However, good ventilation during printing is always recommended.
