3DZ HIPS Filament in premium quality
Polystyrene is
used by the industry mainly in food and packaging.
It has optimum properties in terms of
hygiene, strength and heat resistance.
It is a stable material - with impact
resistance and stiffness comparable to ABS.
The load capacity surpasses PLA.
It is REACH-compliant and has a low water absorption.
Our HIPS filament
has super printing characteristics and hardly warping / warping. Fine details
and smooth surfaces are possible.
Problem-free finishing, such as painting,
spraying with acrylic paints and grinding are possible.
Individual parts can
be glued with most commercially available adhesives.
Polystyrene
completely dissolves in limonene extract (e.g., D-limonene).
Limonene is a
colorless, liquid hydrocarbon and is used as a cheap perfume and also as a
solvent or a thinner for paints and varnishes. Limonene does not react with ABS.
As a result, the HIPS filament is also to be used as a soluble support material
in conjunction with complex ABS printing (e.g., ball bearings or joints).
After printing, the print is placed in a container with limonene and waited for
the polystyrene to dissolve.
